Official Selection to Rhode Island International Film Festival
This film has been selected from over 2,000 submissions from across the globe for inclusion in the 11th annual Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF) to be held August 7th-12th, 2007. It was chosen as one of the signature films of the festival. Out of the 250 films being shown, we are in the top list. For signature films, 16 features were chosen, 31 documentaries and 16 shorts. The Rhode Island International Film Festival, now in its eleventh year, is created and produced by the 25 year-old Flickers Arts Collaborative. It’s been named by many online festival sites as one of the top ten film festivals in the United States and is also the largest overall film festival in New England. In 2002, RIIFF was notified by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences that it had been elected as a qualifying festival for the Annual Academy Awards. (With more than 3,000 film festivals worldwide, only 60 have this recognition.)
